The Pierre Hotel Residences
The Most Extraordinary Manhattan Luxury Condos
The Pierre Hotel Residences
The Pierre Hotel has 77 condos of which two are now available through Manhattan realtors.
Out-Of-This-World is what most would say about any of these condos in the Pierre and they sold out immediately.
The Pierre, at Fifth Avenue and 61st Street, has the look of a French chateau, if a French chateau were 41 stories
tall.
For decades, the Pierre has been a favorite of people who had little in common except a taste for luxury, including Frank
Sinatra, Audrey Hepburn, William S. Paley and Mikhail
Gorbachev.
The renovation of the Pierre Hotel into condos was made urgent by the “highly competitive arena” of New York hotels, said
Heiko Kuenstle, 38, the Pierre’s general manager.
The Pierre Hotel's condos have the caché of being some of Manhattan’s most expensive co-op apartments on the
market.
Martin Zweig had his triplex penthouse at the Pierre on the market for $70 million for more than three years.
Warburg Pincus Chairman Lionel Pincus’ duplex co-op at the Pierre has been on the market since last fall for $50
million.
Pincus’ Pierre Hotel apartment must be a 100% cash deal, apparently a stringent requirement imposed by the Pierre’s co-op
board.
Rich with 1930s detail, the Pierre is decorated with hand-painted murals and Italian marble. The Pierre's signature room, The
Rotunda, features an intricately-designed mosaic tile floor and offers a traditional English afternoon tea.
Other dining options include Café Pierre specializing in continental cuisine and the Pierre Bar, which offers hors d'oeuvres
and light snacks.
In-room dining is available 24 hours a day.
The hotel's 24-hour business facilities include 18,000 square feet of meeting space, five conference rooms, multiple computer
workstations and wireless Internet access.
Cardiovascular equipment and strength machines, including treadmills, Lifecycles and StairMasters, are available in the
complimentary fitness center. Two salons are located on site and offer massages, facials and hair care for men and women.
Available: There are currently 2 condos for sale in the Pierre Hotel.
A Five-bedroom penthouse $70 million & a wonderful 2 Bedroom residence.
At a record-setting $70 million, the Hotel Pierre penthouse is expensive even by New York standards.
The former ballroom at this prewar high-rise has been refashioned as a triplex unit with seven bathrooms, five fireplaces, and
360-degree views of the city.
The New York Times proclaimed it “the world's best” penthouse.
